Agency: eyeball
Role: Video Editor

My early days at Eyeball coincided with an era of hip-hop that was defined by a new wave of artists like Mos Def and Pharoahe Monch, signed to Rawkus Records.

I joined Eyeball just in time to help finish the "Miss Fat Booty" video for Mos Def (but I don’t claim any credit for that amazing video) and the projects that followed were amazing creative training as an editor.

These are my two favorite videos of that period, working directly with Rawkus co-founders Brian Brater and Jarret Myer. The first for the Lyricist Lounge Vol. 2 compilation — “Oh No” featuring Mos Def, Pharoahe Monch, and Nate Dogg (RIP), produced by Rockwilder. The second, “The Blast” from Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek’s Reflection Eternal project, off the album “Train of Thought.”
